Terms

The deal, in plain English.

Last updated April 24, 2026. By installing Halved, you agree to these terms.

What Halved is

Halved is a bill-splitting utility. It records debts between you and the people you choose to track with. It does not move money. Settlements are recorded when you confirm them; the actual transfer happens in whatever payment app you and your friends use.

Your account

You're responsible for the phone number you sign up with and the device you use. If you lose access, contact us and we'll work with you to recover the account.

Don't add people to circles without their consent — they'll receive notifications.

Subscriptions

Pro and Unlimited are auto-renewing subscriptions managed by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel any time from your store account; you'll retain access until the end of the current period and then drop to Free. Your data stays put.

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google per their policies. Contact their support directly for refund requests.

Fair use

Don't use Halved to launder money, automate spam, abuse other users, or scrape the service. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that do.

Disclaimer

Halved is provided "as is." We try very hard to get the math right, and we test it — but if a number on screen disagrees with your bank, your bank is the source of truth. We are not financial advisors.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes get a notification inside the app before they take effect.
